Alana catches some early morning rays in the cafe. She is terribly upset not to be back home in Olympia in the pouring rain.

Our customers are what make the cafe such a fun place to hang out. In the morning we get the breakfast crowd: the gringos order eggs, granola, or maybe waffles, the students from the university across the street order tortas, and the local artists order tlayudas.

In the afternoon people start showing up with their lap tops, checking out what's going on in the world (has anyone e-mailed them?) or maybe doing a little work.

Come evening the strong Oaxacan sun has set and people reclaim the streets, wandering into the cafe to chat with friends and perhaps try an iced mocha.

Good friends, good coffee, good music, and you're in Oaxaca. Yes, life is good!
